The devastating effects of Hurricane Milton are being felt across the communities we serve, and we are acting quickly to respond. Before the storm made landfall, we began working with local leaders and relief organizations to assess needs and help communities prepare. We’ve assisted thousands of Walmart and Sam’s Club associates with evacuations, and we will continue to prioritize their safety and well-being.

On the heels of Hurricane Milton, Walmart, Sam’s Club and the Walmart Foundation are extending their commitment to support hurricane relief efforts to $16 million across impacted communities. This is a $6 million increase to the $10 million previously committed for relief and recovery efforts in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas from Hurricane Helene. These efforts include donations of food, water, essential supplies and grants to organizations providing relief.

We’re constantly inspired by the generosity of our customers and members. Customers and members rallied to support Hurricane Helene relief, helping us raise more than $7.7 million through our 1:1 donation match program. Customers and members can continue donating to the American Red Cross at stores, clubs and on Walmart.com through Oct. 20.

To support communities without access to power, we’re working with nonprofits and suppliers to deliver much-needed resources, including free meals, WiFi hotspots, charging stations and laundry and shower services. Throughout the recovery, we will continue looking for ways to support our associates, customers, members and their families.
