When we set out to reimagine our Home Office, we weren’t just designing a workplace. We were creating an environment that would connect our global business to our local roots, welcome associates from around the world and reflect the vibrant character of Northwest Arkansas.
This week’s opening of the AC Hotel Bentonville marks a pivotal moment in that journey.
Anchored at the corner of our 414-acre Walmart Home Office, the AC Hotel Bentonville isn’t just a physical part of our workplace — it’s integrated into the way we work, gather and host. It’s one of the first things visiting associates will experience when they arrive at our Home Office, and the last place they’ll want to stop before heading home.
That’s by design.
With direct access to the Razorback Greenway and a location that connects downtown Bentonville to our Home Office, the hotel creates a seamless link between our work and our community. With 153 rooms, smart amenities and flexible event space, it offers a welcoming, design-forward space for our associates and visitors who come to Northwest Arkansas to collaborate. And, when it is not in use for the business, making the AC available to the community and visitors to NWA is an additional benefit to our region.

Falfurrias: A rooftop lounge rooted in legacy
At the heart of the AC Hotel is Falfurrias, a rooftop lounge named after one of Sam Walton’s favorite escapes in South Texas. It was a place where Sam went to reconnect — with nature, with friends and with himself. That spirit lives on in Falfurrias today.
Warm and unpretentious, the space pairs local flavor with elevated hospitality, offering a rotating menu of small plates, craft beverages and panoramic views of Bentonville. But more than that, it’s a space designed for connection:
- A wind-down moment after a long day of collaboration.
- A relaxing spot for a traveling associate.
- A casual gathering of teammates, partners, or neighbors.
Falfurrias is where values and vision meet — on the rooftop, with a view worth sharing.
Here, hospitality isn’t an afterthought, it’s part of how we build belonging.

Retail that brings us together: Introducing more Home Office tenants
Just steps from the AC Hotel Bentonville, we’re activating new energy along 8th Street and J Street, with curated retail and restaurant experiences designed to welcome both associates and the Bentonville community.
These walkable street corridors connect the office to the everyday — with spots to pick up a gift, run an errand or unwind after hours. Here’s a look at the new shops joining our lineup. Several local businesses are expanding alongside new-to-Bentonville businesses. We look forward to openings scheduled to begin this Fall and throughout next year.

A vision made real
As we continue to shape the future of work at Walmart, the AC Hotel Bentonville and the addition of a new Walmart Pharmacy and other Retail Shops reflects what we believe: that a vibrant workplace can make a great community. That spaces can foster connection at work and on the weekend. And that sometimes, a convenient shop or a rooftop in Bentonville can say as much about our culture as a conference room.
