The Making of Christmas Morning: Celebrating Walmart Suppliers That Bring the Holiday to Life

Dec. 18, 2024

A photo of various Christmas items including toys, pajamas, and home decor.

There are few moments quite as magical as Christmas morning. As a kid, I can remember hopping out of bed before the sun came up and seeing the tree glow in the dark of the living room. The ornaments twinkled, the wrapping paper on the presents shined, and a day I’d waited for all year had finally arrived.

Now, as both a parent and associate working in sourcing at the world’s largest retailer, I know so much hard work goes into making that magic happen. And while the elves up north are taking care of business for Santa, we’re working with suppliers all around the world to not only bring Christmas to life for customers, but to do it with products and businesses we can all be proud to showcase.

AL Paper, maker of honeycomb paper products, made a splash this holiday season with their viral paper Christmas tree décor. Based in India, AL Paper upcycles cotton garment waste for use in their paper products, which according to the supplier, lowers water and energy usage, cuts back their carbon footprint and helps reduce deforestation.

We’re excited to help Christmas come to life around the world by connecting customers to the products they want and need, from businesses working to make their communities better. Merry Christmas to all!
