We stand with our friends and neighbors impacted by Hurricane Beryl in Texas and the Gulf Coast. Since the storm made landfall, Walmart has been quickly mobilizing to support local organizations with donations and make resources such as free meals, water, wifi and charging stations available in several of our store and club parking lots in the impacted area.

In total, we supported more than 35 local community-based organizations and local governments with more than 30 truckloads of product donations including water, non-perishable food, or gift cards to purchase supplies. In the initial days following the storm, our product donations were distributed through at least 20 donation events across the community and at Walmart stores in the Houston metro.

As long-term power outages impacted the region, we set up wifi hotspot and charging stations at six of our stores across the greater Houston metro area. Our Walmart Transportation team and Tyson Foods provided free hot meals at two Walmart Supercenters in Houston, serving more than 37,500 meals, and Operation BBQ Relief distributed more than 32,000 meals at the Walmart Supercenter in Lake Jackson. Our Sam’s Club Member's Mark teams started cooking meals for the community on July 16 and have served thousands of free meals each day.
