Gordon Y. Allison is senior vice president, Office of the Corporate Secretary, and chief counsel for Finance and Corporate Governance. In this role, Gordon manages a team of attorneys and legal professionals, providing direct support in the various legal practice areas of Tax, Securities, Corporate Governance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Sustainability, and Charitable Giving, including the Board Liaison team.

Gordon has practiced law for 37 years. Prior to joining Walmart in 2003, he held general counsel positions with several companies, including Edgewater Technology, f/k/a Staffmark, Inc., and Pace Industries, Inc. Gordon served as a staff attorney and a special counsel in the Division of Corporation Finance at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C.

Gordon earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law. He also holds a Master of Laws in Securities Regulation and Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas School of Business and is a certified public accountant.
