Brian Niccol is the chairman and CEO of Starbucks Corporation. He joined Starbucks in September 2024 after leading Chipotle Mexican Grill through a period of growth and establishing the business as a culinary leader, pioneering digital innovation, introducing new menu items, and expanding internationally.

Under Mr. Niccol's leadership, Chipotle received global recognition and honors, including being named to Fortune's Most Admired Companies, Forbes' Best Employers for Diversity, Fast Company's The World's Most Innovative Companies, and Newsweek's America's Most Loved and Most Responsible Companies.

Mr. Niccol has been recognized on numerous lists, including Fortune's Businessperson of the Year, Bloomberg's People Who Defined 2019 (The Bloomberg 50), Barron's Top CEOs, Comparably's Best CEOs and Best CEOs for Women and Diversity, and Restaurant Business's Leader of the Year. He was also named a Distinguished Alumni by the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.

Mr. Niccol holds a bachelor's degree from Miami University in Ohio and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. He currently serves on Starbucks' board of directors and previously served on the boards of Chipotle, KB Home and Harley-Davidson.
