At Walmart, we want every customer and member to feel welcomed, respected and supported. That means creating shopping experiences that are easier to navigate, less overwhelming and more responsive to the different ways people shop, whether in stores or online.
Sensory-Friendly Shopping Hours
We operate sensory-friendly shopping hours at all U.S. stores from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily. The program creates a less stimulating environment by changing the TV walls to a static image, turning off the radio, and lowering the lights where possible.
Pickup and Delivery
Customers and members can choose to shop however works best for them using pickup and delivery options at Walmart and Sam’s Club.
Caroline’s Carts
All Walmart U.S. stores provide Caroline’s Carts to help caregivers of customers with disabilities navigate the store with a single cart. A Caroline's Cart looks like a typical shopping cart but includes a large seat with a five-point harness that faces the person pushing the cart, alleviating the need for customers to push both a shopping cart and a wheelchair in the store.
Adaptive Products
On Adaptive at Walmart, customers can find a curated assortment of products for everyone and every need, from the first-to-market Wonder Nation adaptive backpack to mobility aids and tactile clothing.
Blind and Low Vision Navigation
We launched free navigation services for blind and low-vision customers in our U.S. stores and online through Aira.
American Sign Language Interpretation Services
Customers and associates can access on-demand sign language interpreting in any of our U.S. stores by scanning a QR code at service desks for Sorenson services.
Accessible Customer Service
Customers can communicate with customer service agents using American Sign Language on 1-800-WALMART by calling with a video-enabled phone.
We’re also commitment to creating accessible shopping experiences around the world. View our 2026 Belonging Report to learn more.
We’re committed to creating a retail experience that is inclusive and accessible for all customers, members, associates, vendors, and communities we serve. Our commitment to accessibility is grounded in respect, equal opportunity, and the belief that everyone should be able to engage with Walmart in meaningful and consistent ways.
On a Wednesday morning in a Walmart Store in Allen, Texas, her white cane and smartphone in tow, Paula Margeson walks alone. She’s reclaiming a freedom many of us take for granted: shopping for groceries.
We love being part of a team that can help create a culture where everyone feels they belong. Belonging looks different for each person, but when we listen and value everyone's perspectives, thoughtful change can happen.
Your feedback is an important part of creating a Walmart where everyone feels welcome. If you have feedback about how we can improve accessibility on our website, stores or clubs, please contact our Customer Service team.
