Judith McKenna is executive vice president and chief operating officer for Walmart U.S. In addition to overseeing operations for the company’s 4,600 U.S. stores, Judith is also responsible for Walmart Services, Fuel, Asset Protection and Walmart Realty.
Judith and her team are committed to driving strong results while transforming the way Walmart serves its customers – helping busy families save time and money. She is also passionate about empowering Walmart’s 1.5 million U.S. associates with technology and training that helps them grow and succeed in their careers.
In her 20-plus years with the company, Judith has served in a number of key leadership roles in the U.S. and U.K., including chief development officer for Walmart U.S., executive vice president of strategy and development for Walmart International as well as chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Asda Stores Ltd. – one of the largest subsidiaries of Walmart International.
A long-time champion for diversity and inclusion, Judith previously chaired Walmart’s council responsible for the company’s global women’s strategy. Additionally, she and her family are active in supporting a number of nonprofits in the U.K. and in Northwest Arkansas, where she serves on the Walton Arts Center’s board of directors.
In 2015 and 2016, Judith was named to Fortune’s list of 50 Most Powerful Women in Business.
Judith graduated with an honours degree in law from Hull University in England before gaining her Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales accounting qualification at KPMG. In 2013, she was awarded an honorary doctorate in law from Hull University.
