"Fighting Hunger Together," Walmart's six week online voting campaign aimed to combat hunger by asking community members to vote for the communities that they deemed, "most hungry."

At the end of the campaign, Salt Lake City earned the most votes and received a $1 million grant. Fresno, California, Columbia, South Carolina, Ogden and Clearfield, Utah, Charleston, South Carolina, and Bakerfield, California each received $100,000 grants.

Through the "Fighting Hunger Together" campaign, Walmart funded innovative programs in local communities, including those that provide meals for students and transport nutritional food throughout the community.
