Walmart is leading American renewal through its commitment to purchase an additional $250 billion in products made, sourced or grown in the U.S. by 2023. 

By investing in products that support American jobs, Walmart can plan a role in accelerating growth in U.S. manufacturing. By collaborating with Suppliers, engaging industry experts, and leveraging our scale, Walmart’s commitment could create up to 1 million new American jobs*.

To underscore Walmart’s commitment we hosted our 4th U.S. Manufacturing Summit with the theme of “Investing in American Jobs”.  View the day’s highlights.  The event also included another exciting Open Call for new U.S.-made products.

Supplier Academy Sessions:

  • The Walmart Customer - “Made in the USA” is a strong driver of purchase decisions – second only to price. Hear from Tony Rogers Walmart’s Chief Marketing Officer, and Matt Kistler, SVP Walmart Global Customer Insights and Analytics, as they discuss how consumer perceptions of your brands and items are impacted by the Made in USA label. This session will focus on customer insights and how Walmart and Suppliers are communicating to our customers, and how you can engage with Walmart thru the marketing of your products. But how will more recent trends such as the strengthening dollar and advanced robotics impact the trajectory of US manufacturing?
