The Walmart Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE) initiative aims to improve the lives of underserved women around the world. Please join us for our first WEE Milestone Meeting to be held from 8 to 9 a.m. CDT, Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Walmart Home Office.
The event will feature speakers including Walmart executives, key partners and suppliers, and women from around the world benefiting from Walmart’s Women’s Economic Empowerment Initiative. Speakers will provide updates on the progress made toward achieving the initiative’s key goals.
The initiative launched in September 2011 and has helped provide job training, market access and career opportunities to women across the globe. In addition, the Walmart Foundation has contributed more than $79 million in state, national and international grants toward programs to empower women.
