Ever wish you could overhear a conversation between Abby Wambach and Glennon Doyle?

Or sit down with Jen Hatmaker to get her take on real-life issues? Well, thanks to a partnership between Hello Sunshine and Together Live, these imaginary moments will soon be reality.

This fall, Walmart is proud to be a national sponsor for the Hello Sunshine x Together Live Tour. Hitting the road in November, the tour will visit 10 cities from Toronto to Austin for a live, on-stage conversation meant to elevate and amplify female voices. The event brings together a diverse group of influential women for an evening of authentic conversation.

Take a look at the lineup for the Boston event last week: author Cheryl Strayed, artist-poet-author Cleo Wade, Yara Shahidi (you know her from ABC’s Black-ish), singer-songwriter MILCK, and comedian Nicole Byer. For two hours, audiences heard from these creative, dynamic, and hilarious women and were moved by their raw female narratives.

In addition to Walmart, sponsors include P&G, WME, and, of course, Hello Sunshine (a media brand founded by Reese Witherspoon). With fresh, engaging content and a nontraditional format, the Hello Sunshine x Together Live tour is a new way for Walmart to reach customers. Each week, nearly 265 million people visit a Walmart store, and the majority of buying decisions in U.S. households are made by women.

“We love that the tour brings together women from such a broad range of ethnicities, backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses and career paths,” said Brittney Duke, Walmart’s Vice President of Marketing Operations. “The women on the tour are diverse – and so are our customers.”

Walmart has been working to increase the diversity of its associate base as well – including at the highest levels of the business. As CEO Doug McMillon wrote in the company’s latest Culture, Diversity and Inclusion report, “Walmart must be a place where associates feel welcomed, comfortable and safe in bringing their authentic selves to work each day and are engaged and empowered by inclusive leaders to be high performers.” That idea of the “authentic self” is what the Hello Sunshine x Together Live tour is all about – creating a platform for women to share their authentic stories with audiences in local communities.
