You can find a ton of items in a Walmart store. But sometimes you’re on the hunt for something incredibly specific. Like a Wonder Woman coffeemaker. Or a shade of lipstick to match a brand-new dress. Wouldn’t it be magical if that item was secured for you to order instantly in store, and you leave, having marked it off your list?

We think so, and that’s why we’ve introduced a new in-store app that gives our store associates the power of Walmart.com right at their fingertips.

One of the best parts of this feature is that you can pay however you want – with a new cash or check option, credit card or Walmart Pay – which makes our entire assortment easier to shop and accessible to everyone.

Here’s how it works. Say you’re looking for a specific size television for an upcoming party, but the store is sold out of the size and brand you want.

Just tap a nearby associate on the shoulder, and they’ll help you select the right item on their in-store device. After choosing to have the item shipped to your home or delivered to the store for free, you’ll receive a receipt or email that you can then use to pay at any register in the store. The shipping process begins as soon as you check out. It’s as easy as that!

This new app connects our stores and Walmart.com to enable a new, convenient service, and it’s also the latest in a series of apps associates now have to help them serve customers even better.
