Nov. 6, 2014 – LOS ANGELES - Replenish Bottling LLC, creator of the Replenish Refill System™, launched a new sustainable product line that has the potential to forever change the way many water-based consumer products are designed, manufactured and sold. The Replenish packaging technology can be found in a new line of concentrate household cleaning and personal care items sold under the CleanPath™ brand exclusively on the shelves of 2,000 Walmart stores, in 200 Sam’s Clubs and on Walmart.com.
“Consumer packaging is an industry ripe for disruption,” says Replenish founder and CEO, Jason Foster. “We were able to develop an attractive and efficient design that can lower costs and conserve resources for the products that people love and buy every day. Now we’re convinced that we have a scalable solution that can forever change how we look at a bottle.”
According to Foster, many consumer products contain 90 percent water and a small amount of active ingredients, resulting in higher distribution costs and retail prices as well as unnecessary environmental consequences. Harnessing Replenish’s patented Refill System™, the CleanPath™ line of products allows consumers to easily mix concentrates with water at home using a reusable bottle, thereby eliminating C02 emissions and plastic waste by over 80 percent and providing greater value for the dollar.
“The innovative Replenish system saves money in distribution and packaging,” said Shawn Townzen, vice president of personal care at Walmart. “Plus, the refill pods help consumers minimize waste, which aligns with Walmart’s sustainability goal to sell products that sustain people and the environment.”
CleanPath™ is the result of an immense amount of effort, planning and collaboration. Over the course of two years, Replenish worked with senior retail executives, leading private label manufacturer Vi-Jon Laboratories and plastic bottle manufacturing firm Berry Plastics, to address a variety of technical and merchandising challenges. This resulted in the birth of five CleanPath™ products: Multi-Surface Cleaner, Bathroom Cleaner, Glass Cleaner, Foaming Hand Soap and Foaming Hand Sanitizer.
