BRYAN, Texas, March 5, 2014 – A new Walmart will open Wednesday, March 12, after a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. The new store at 643 N. It will provide Bryan residents with one-stop shopping convenience for their grocery and general merchandise needs. The store also offers pharmacy services.

One-Stop Shopping Convenience
The store features quality, value-priced general merchandise, including apparel, electronics, toys, sporting goods, and lawn and garden items. It also offers a full line of groceries, including organic and natural selections in addition to local favorites.

The pharmacy offers a full range of products and services. Pharmacy team members can answer product and prescription questions and customers can ask about health and wellness solutions.

Community Giving
The grand-opening celebration also includes presentations of $3,000 in grants from Walmart to local community groups. Grant recipients include Boys and Girls Club of Bryan, Habitat for Humanity and Mary Branch Elementary

In addition to the grants given as part of the grand opening, the new store will further Walmart’s pledge to fight hunger in America. Additionally, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation gave more than $86.2 million in fiscal year 2013 in Texas alone. I am excited to bring this new store to Bryan. I think our community will love the low prices and one-stop shopping,” said Boyer. “I invited Bryan residents to come and celebrate our grand opening on March 12.”

A Big Family Welcome
Walmart is happy to be part of the Bryan community and is ready to celebrate with residents on Saturday, March 15.
