BEAVERCREEK, Ohio, July 3, 2013 – An expanded Walmart will unveil the changes Wednesday, July 17, after a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. The expanded store is conveniently located at 3360 Pentagon Blvd. and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will provide Beavercreek residents with one-stop shopping convenience for their grocery and general merchandise needs. The store also offers pharmacy services.
The expansion adds approximately 63,000 square feet to the existing store and will allow for a larger selection of merchandise for customers. New departments include fresh produce, bakery, deli and meat.
"On behalf of the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce, I'm pleased to congratulate Walmart and its associates on their newly expanded store. The expanded store brings new jobs to our community as well as a convenient place to shop," said chamber president and CEO Toni Overholser.
The Beavercreek Walmart is one of 24 Walmart stores opening across the country on July 17th.
One-Stop Shopping Convenience
The store features quality, value-priced general merchandise, including apparel, electronics, toys, sporting goods, and lawn and garden items. It also offers a full line of groceries, including organic and natural selections in addition to local favorites.
The pharmacy offers a full range of products and services. Pharmacy team members can answer product and prescription questions and offer health and wellness solutions.
Community Giving
The grand-opening celebration also includes presentations of $6,000 in grants from Walmart and the Walmart Foundation to local community groups. Beavercreek Fire Department, Beavercreek Police Department, Beavercreek High School, Fairborn High School, Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce and Wright State University.
More Store, More Jobs
The store employs approximately 300 full- and part-time associates, including approximately 80 new positions created by the expansion. Store manager Sean Espy began his Walmart career in 1997 as a part-time cashier.

Walmart is happy to be part of the Beavercreek community and is ready to celebrate with residents on Saturday, July 20. A Big Family Welcome will give customers a chance to meet Espy and enjoy fun family activities such as face painting, cupcake decorating and free food samples while supplies last.
