Seventh Ave. is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will provide Augusta residents with one-stop shopping convenience for their grocery and general merchandise needs. The store is relocating from its previous location at 1618 Ohio St. The store also offers pharmacy services. The Augusta store is one of 17 Walmart stores opening in communities across the United States on June 12.

"Walmart has been a great community partner in Augusta for more than 30 years providing both quality jobs and merchandise," said Mayor Kristey Williams. "We are now looking forward to welcoming a new, larger store located prominently on our Seventh Avenue commercial corridor. Walmart's new location, and expanded offerings, will be a boost to our local economy and be a great addition to the continued aesthetic improvements along one of our most trafficked corridors. We are excited for the eagerly awaited expansion and for the continued positive relationship with Walmart."

One-Stop Shopping Convenience
The store features quality, value-priced general merchandise, including apparel, electronics, toys, sporting goods, and lawn and garden items. It also offers a full line of groceries, including organic and natural selections in addition to local favorites.

The pharmacy offers a full range of products and services. Pharmacy team members can answer product and prescription questions and offer health and wellness solutions.

"I am pleased to offer this new store to the Augusta community," said Kendrick. "Please come out and see your new Walmart store and enjoy the grand-opening events on Wednesday."
