New York, NY (Sept. 22, 2009) – Garanimals, the name that millions of parents have come to love and trust in children’s apparel, and Walmart announced today the introduction of a new line of play and learning toys exclusively at Walmart stores.
The new toy line features age appropriate toys for infants, toddlers and pre-school children that come brightly packaged with many of the same animal characters that have made Garanimals so recognizable to parents and kids the world over.
A wide assortment of the toy products have just arrived in all Walmart stores and just in time for the upcoming holiday season, including great items such as:
- $8 Pull-Apart Shape Sorter (classic mastery of shapes in contained ball)
- $10 ABC Wood Blocks (50 finely crafted learning blocks with bag)
- $10 Bath Boat with Squirters
- $3 Easy Grab Assorted Wood Puzzles
- $29 5-in-1 Learning Cube (stands 18” tall and packed with assorted skills for dexterity)
Many offerings in the line are unique, with emphasis on activity & education.
“The new line is a part of Walmart’s effort to enhance our pre-school toy assortment and provide a new selection of quality toys that many moms will remember from their youth, with a superior value in comparison to specialty stores,” said Laura Phillips, chief toy officer and vice president of Toys, Walmart.
The new Garanimals line of toys follows the successful introduction of the Garanimals line of kids apparel which came to Walmart exclusively in 2008. Just as in apparel, the Garanimals toy line will bring exceptional value to mom while offering high quality products that can stand up to hard usage in children’s play.
The Garanimals brand will be supported by a multi-million dollar television advertising campaign this fall and holiday.
