Dell Computers to Arrive at Wal-Mart This Weekend

Bentonville, Ark., June 8, 2007 – Beginning this Sunday, June 10, consumers across the U.S. will be able to purchase Dell computers at Wal-Mart. The two Dell™ Dimension™ E521 Multimedia Desktop computers, exclusively built for Wal-Mart, will be introduced to the mass retail market at more than 3,300 Wal-Mart stores. Plans to introduce a Dell notebook this summer at Wal-Mart stores are also under way.

More than 580 Sam’s Clubs across the U.S. also will be receiving two exclusive Dell computers: a notebook and a Dimension desktop which will become available in Sam’s Club locations mid-June.

Overall, the Dell retail launch with Wal-Mart this summer includes numerous Dell products offered in more than 4,000 Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club locations across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.  The partnership provides consumers more access to touch, see and purchase on the spot a Dell computer built specifically to accommodate the needs of consumers looking for a quality computer for home, office or school.

“Dell is one of the world’s most recognized computer brands, and we are pleased to be working with the company to introduce these systems exclusively built with our customers’ needs in mind,” says Gary Severson, senior vice president, entertainment at Wal-Mart.
