We know investing in associates is the key to moving faster, going further and winning together, and this collaboration builds on our nearly $1 billion commitment to skills training through 2026.
As we prepare associates across all areas — from supply chain to stores to tech — for the jobs of tomorrow, this free access to AI certifications and training through OpenAI will empower associates to lead and innovate in the retail industry.
An investment in the latest technology is an investment in you. And today, we’re making another one.
Beginning next year, U.S. frontline and office-based associates will have access to cutting-edge AI training through a new collaboration with OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT. They’re launching a new OpenAI Certifications program, and we’re working with them to create a customized experience for you.
Through Walmart Academy, the largest private training program in the world with over 3.5 million participants, associates will have free access to a tailored version of this certification. This training is designed to help you at work and in your personal life in an increasingly digital world.
Why is this so important? Because being people-led means investing in you. With these new learning opportunities, you can develop the skills to succeed and grow.
