As game day excitement builds, fans across the country gather in stadium parking lots, backyards and driveways to celebrate one of America’s favorite traditions: tailgating. It’s a pre-game ritual — and a full sensory experience powered by community and a lineup of standout brands from your local Walmart.
Through trusted supplier relationships and a commitment to quality, Walmart makes it easy to find everything for the perfect tailgate — from coolers and beverages to snacks and grilling essentials. And one of the best parts? All of these brands feature items are made, grown or assembled right here in the U.S.
Many of them made their Walmart debut through our annual Open Call: Walmart’s flagship event where we invite businesses from across the country to our Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas to pitch their products for the chance to sell with Walmart.
Let’s take a look at some of the brands you can count on to deliver when the pressure’s on and the crowd’s hungry:
Cool beginnings with Igloo
Every great tailgate starts with a cooler. And Igloo Coolers are built for the job. From the Overland Series to the classic Laguna designed for all adventures, Igloo keeps beverages chilled and close at hand wherever the celebration happens.
Igloo and Walmart began working together in 1981. In 2021, they introduced the exclusive Walmart Overland collection, coolers assembled in Texas, that deliver quality at Every Day Low Prices. You can find Igloo products in Walmart Supercenters and Sam’s Clubs across the country.
Crafted cheers from Athletic Brewing
For those who want the taste of craft beer without the alcohol, Athletic Brewing delivers award-winning flavor with less than 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV). Their lineup offers a refreshing alternative that keeps everyone in the game. As one of our most successful suppliers sourced through Open Call, their first items hit stores in spring 2021 and are now available in Walmart Supercenters and Sam’s Clubs around the country.
They recently expanded, opening a new brewery creating 200 jobs for their local community.
Southern refreshment from Milo’s Tea Company
Tailgating in the heat calls for something cool and classic. Milo’s Tea Company brings Southern hospitality to the cooler with naturally brewed sweet tea and lemonade. Made with simple ingredients and no preservatives, Milo’s offers a refreshing break that pairs perfectly with salty snacks or smoky barbecue.
Milo’s began selling tea to Walmart in 1989, starting with hand-deliveries to the first Walmart Supercenter in Birmingham, Alabama.
Over the next three decades, that humble beginning grew into a nationwide success, with Milo’s now available in over 4,200 stores and ranking among the top-selling items in Walmart’s Food and Beverage category. Milo’s Tea opened the doors to its newest manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina, last April, connecting with our commitment to invest $350 billion in products made, grown or assembled in the U.S. From one store to four manufacturing and distribution centers, and over 1,000 local jobs, Milo’s growth with Walmart is a story of collaboration, persistence and Southern-brewed success.
Bold crunch from Pop-Daddy Snacks
No tailgate is complete without a snack table. Pop-Daddy Snacks understands this truth, bringing bold flavor to every bite. Their seasoned pretzels and popcorn, in flavors like beer cheese, dill pickle, and sweet Maui onion, are handcrafted in small batches and packed for sharing.
The brand launched its seasoned pretzel line in 2018, followed by kettle chips in 2024. Operating from a 57,000 square foot facility in Michigan, this Open Call participant joined us for our Walmart Fly-In earlier this year, where we brought some of our incredible suppliers to the Hill in Washington, D.C., to talk to members of Congress about how their business growth is having a positive impact on communities. Today, five products are available in over 1,500 Walmart stores, with plans to expand.
Grill mastery with Oscarware Grill Toppers
When it’s time to fire up the grill, Oscarware Grill Toppers make outdoor cooking clean and efficient. Their porcelain-coated toppers prevent food from falling through the grates and make clean up easier. Made in Kentucky, Oscarware is the go-to solution for tailgaters who want convenience without compromise.
“As a family-owned company based in Kentucky, we’re proud to help fans across the country make the most of every tailgate and backyard gathering,” said Debra Dudley, the founder of Oscarware.
Oscarware has been in Walmart stores since 1989, when it first connected with a Walmart buyer at a trade show in Chicago, Illinois.
“There, we caught the attention of a Walmart buyer. That moment sparked a relationship that’s still going strong 36 years later, and now available in nearly 4,000 Walmart stores nationwide. Working with Walmart has helped the company introduce numerous grill toppers, transforming the way people cook outdoors — from weekend warriors to seasoned grill masters,” said Kelly Busick, Vice president at Oscarware. “Beyond products, Oscarware’s journey has also been about giving back to its community.”
Finishing touches from Smash Kitchen
To top it all off, Smash Kitchen delivers organic condiments like hot BBQ, Dijon mustard, and American-style ketchup — crafted for flavor lovers who want quality ingredients and unforgettable taste.
Co-founded by actor Glen Powell, Smash Kitchen offers flavors to elevate every dish. This new condiment brand has been on Walmart shelves nationwide since April 2025 and is doing incredible work to ensure our customers have healthy options to their everyday favorites for a summertime burger!
Game on
From the first sip to the final bite, this tailgate season is powered by a lineup of brands that know how to bring the flavor. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just here for the food, these suppliers make every game day a winner.
