David Galloreese is senior vice president of people for Sam’s Club. Serving on both the Sam’s Club Leadership Council and the Global People Division Leadership Team, David is charged with attracting and retaining best-in-class talent while also driving associate engagement and membership experience. He is passionate about leveraging technology to help drive culture, associate and customer experiences at scale.

Prior to joining Sam’s Club in Oct. 2016, David led People, Culture and Sales Enablement at Medallia, the customer experience software company and one of the tech “unicorns”, across their offices in the United States, England, Australia, France and Argentina. While in that role, he was responsible for building an innovative recruiting model to drive employer branding, data science and operations, and led the compensation committee programs and partnerships. He also helped Medallia earn the Glassdoor Best Places to Work award and was a contributor to Harvard Business Review and Fortune. Prior to Medallia, David was senior vice president for a division of HR at Caesar’s Entertainment, supporting property operations for 30,000 employees with responsibility for employee relations, labor relations, employment, recruitment, training, culture and compliance.

David earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master’s in business administration from New York University.
