Walmart and Sam’s Club are administering COVID-19 vaccines in all of our more than 5,100 U.S. pharmacies in the United States, including Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C.

Availability and Eligibility
To check COVID-19 vaccine availability and eligibility in your area, access your state department of health website on the map below. Eligible customers can schedule a vaccine appointment directly via the Walmart and Sam's Club websites when times are available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do customers need an appointment to get a vaccination?
No, an appointment is not required. The more than 5,100 Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies accept walk-ins, as well as appointments via the scheduler. In addition to appointments, the scheduler will provide a digital reminder when it is time to return for the second vaccine, which is why customers are asked to create a profile, helping to ensure customers receive the second dose of the vaccine. Check with your state’s department of health for additional information about how the process is working in your area.
A membership is not required to get a vaccination at Sam’s Club.
How do I know if I'm eligible for a vaccine?
All individuals age 5 and older are eligible to receive the vaccine across the United States. At this time, only the Pfizer vaccine is authorized for those age 5 and older. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are currently only authorized for adults age 18 and older.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
- On the day of your appointment, please bring your insurance card if you have one.
- CDC does not require proof of age, occupation, or any other type of credentials; instead the organization relies on you to attest that you meet current eligibility. You may need to verify eligibility in Kentucky and New York, please check their vaccine websites.
- Please plan to stay on site for at least 15 minutes after your shot for monitoring.
What is Walmart’s role in administering the COVID-19 vaccine?
Walmart is proud to support states and the federal government in expanding access to the vaccine as a member of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.
What are COVID-19 booster shots and where can I find more information?
According to the CDC, a booster shot is a dose of vaccine administered when a person’s initial immune response (a person’s initial protection against the COVID-19 virus) has begun to fade. Walmart and Sam’s Club are now administering booster shots. You can find more information from the CDC here.
Is the vaccine safe?
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration decides to authorize vaccines based on the safety and efficacy of each vaccine. The FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the Pfizer and Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, You can find more information from the FDA on the COVID-19 vaccine here.
Which COVID-19 vaccines do Walmart and Sam’s Club offer?
We offer the FDA-authorized vaccines allocated by the government, including Pfizer, Moderna and J&J.
Did your pharmacists require special training?
In addition to the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) immunization training, all of our pharmacists received specific training on the vaccines they are administering.
Will the federal government provide the vaccine to you?
Yes, all vaccines are being provided by the federal government to pharmacies or the state.
Is there a cost to the vaccine? If so, what is the price?
The federal government is providing the vaccine at no cost. Walmart’s fee to administer the vaccine will be billed to private insurance or the federal government.
How do I schedule my second dose?
When an individual receives the first dose at a Sam’s Club or Walmart location, our pharmacy staff will schedule second doses through a manual process while the customer is on site.
