What is Walmart doing in response to COVID-19?

Walmart Spark

Our communities are counting on us to be there for them right now. Our teams, from the supply chain to our stores, are working incredibly hard to provide the world with the essential products and services they need most during this time. Our focus remains on the health and welfare of our associates, customers, and partners around the world. We are in close communication with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as other health organizations, and are following their guidelines as well as the advice of our own Chief Medical Officer.

There are no words to express how proud we are of our associates who are keeping their communities going. They’re working with unprecedented speed and efficiency to provide vital services. In early March, we implemented an emergency COVID-19 leave policy for associates who are unable to work or uncomfortable at work. Over the past several months, we’ve also adjusted our operating hours, installed sneeze guards and floor decals, and made face coverings required for associates and customers. And, as a way of saying thank you for their hard work, we have offered a series of special cash bonuses to all hourly associates and assistant managers.

We continue to implement additional measures to help our associates and customers stay safe and healthy.
