Jensen to withdraw product due to vendor not adhering to the benefit of full Federal inspection
"In the 56 year history of Jensen Meat Company, we have never experienced or been involved in initiating any type of product recall, said Abel Olivera Chief Operating Officer of Jensen Meats. We hold quality and food safety as paramount to everything that we do at Jensen and we expect the same from our vendors. We will not deviate from this commitment."
The voluntary recall action is not related to any contamination, and there has been no report of illness associated with consumption of these products according to the USDA. Nevertheless, Jensen has ceased all direct and indirect business relations with the material supplier in question.
Jensen has notified and requested the withdrawal of the affected products to the following food retailerand distributors in 16 states:
States: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, NewMexico, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, Wyoming.
