Last fall, our Labrador, Rowdy, had a swollen ankle joint and was not able to put weight on his back leg. Despite his name, Rowdy spends most of his day napping and anticipating post-dinner treats, so we had no idea what could have caused such an injury. We were able to get an appointment with our vet and after X-rays, blood tests and a joint aspiration we were lucky to find it wasn’t serious- just arthritis flaring up from an injury he had as a puppy.
