As the head of Communications for Sam’s Club, Meggan counsels President & CEO Kathryn McLay and her leadership team, and leads a team responsible for media relations, digital PR, speechwriting, and 360° communication between the business and its 100,000+ frontline associates.

Meggan has over 25 years of communications experience across both the private and public sectors, having held important roles in government, retail, and information technology. Before joining the Sam’s Club team, she led PR for the merchandising and marketing operations of Walmart’s U.S. business.

Prior to joining Walmart in 2013, Meggan was communications director for the Kum & Go convenience store chain. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and communications and minor of political science.
