As the head of communications for Walmart International, Meggan counsels President & CEO Kathryn McLay and her leadership team, and leads a team responsible for media relations, digital PR, speechwriting, and 360° communication between the business and its 500,000+ associates around the world.
Meggan has over 28 years of communications experience across both the private and public sectors, having held important roles in government, retail, and information technology. Before joining International, Meggan held a similar role as VP of Communications at Sam's Club. Prior to that, she led PR for the merchandising and marketing operations of Walmart’s U.S. business.
Prior to joining Walmart in 2013, Meggan was communications director for the Kum & Go convenience store chain. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and communications and minor of political science.
