Stephen Quinn is the executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Walmart U.S. He is responsible for all aspects of Walmart’s marketing efforts, including customer research, strategy, program development, branding and customer communications.

Stephen joined Walmart in 2005 as the senior vice president of marketing and was named to his current position in 2007.

Prior to joining Walmart, Stephen was chief marketing officer of PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay North America division.  During his 13 years at PepsiCo, he served in a number of marketing roles, including innovation, brand management, advertising, market research and customer marketing.  He was the general manager of convenience foods and separately the head of marketing of Frito-Lay Canada. Stephen also worked in marketing, sales and finance roles for Quaker Oats, Johnson & Johnson, Proctor & Gamble and Nortel.  He has managed several leading brands, including Tylenol, Johnson’s Baby Products, Quaker Oats, Aunt Jemima, Lay’s Tostitos, Doritos, Great Value, Equate and Walmart.

Stephen is on the board of directors of the Association of National Advertisers, the Ad Council, Give Kids the World and the ALS Association of Northwest Arkansas. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Queens University, Canada, and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He and his wife, Linda, have two grown children.
