Marybeth Hays is the executive vice president of consumables and health & wellness for Walmart U.S. She is responsible for leading the company’s merchandising strategies across a number of categories, including Baby, Household Paper Goods and Chemicals, Pets, Personal Care, Beauty, and Health & Wellness (including Pharmacy, Optical, Clinics, and Over the Counter).

Marybeth has held a variety of leadership roles in Walmart’s U.S., Sam’s Club and International divisions. Most recently, she served as the chief merchandising, marketing, and supply chain officer for Walmart China, where she oversaw the company’s efforts to buy, promote and deliver high-quality products to customers at Walmart’s 420 retail stores in China.

Prior to that, Marybeth served as the senior vice president and general merchandising manager for Walmart U.S. in the Home and Ladieswear categories. She transitioned to Walmart U.S. in 2012 after more than two years with Sam’s Club as SVP/GMM Home & Apparel.

Marybeth is a proud breast cancer survivor and is highly engaged in the cancer community. She is a member of the Walmart Foundation Board of Directors and the Board of Visitors of the School of Business at Wake Forest University.

Marybeth received her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.
